"Feelings" is a song based on a melody composed by Loulou Gaste and made famous by Morris Albert, who recorded it as the title track of his 1975 debut album. The song's lyrics, recognizable by their "whoa whoa whoa" chorus, concern the singer's inability to "forget my feelings of love." Albert's original recording of the song was very successful, reaching #6 on the pop and #2 on the Adult Contemporary charts in America and performing well internationally. Over the next few years "Feelings" was performed by many other vocalists including Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Engelbert Humperdinck, Julio Iglesias, Shirley Bassey, Glen Campbell, Sarah Vaughan, Sergey Penkin and Johnny Mathis. It was also recorded by numerous easy listening bandleaders and ensembles such as Percy Faith and 101 Strings.

In more recent years "Feelings" has been best known as a target of parody and ridicule for embodying what are perceived by many as the most insipid lyrical and musical qualities of 1970s soft rock. It frequently appears on lists of "the worst songs ever"[1] [2] and was included on the 1998 Rhino Records compilation album '70s Party Killers.[3]

Because of similarities of style "Feelings" is sometimes mistakenly associated with Barry Manilow, though Manilow has never recorded or performed the song.

Morris Albert Feelings Lyrics:

Feelings, nothing more than feeling.
Trying to forget my feelings of love.
Teardrops, rolling down on my face.
Trying to forget my feelings of love.

Feelings, for all my life I'll feel it.
I wish I'd never met you, girl.
You'll never come again.
((Feeling, woh, woh, woh, feeling,))
((Woh, woh woh, feeling,))
Again in my arms.

Feelings, feelings like I've never lost you.
And feelings, like I'll never have you
Again in my heart.

Feelings, for all my life I'll feel it.
I wish I'd never met you girl.
You'll never come again.

Feelings, feelings like I've never lost you.
And feelings, like I'll never have you
Again in my life.

((Feeling, woh, woh, woh, feeling,))
((Woh, woh woh, feeling,))
Again in my arms.

[Fade.]
((Feeling, woh, woh, woh, feeling,))
((Woh, woh woh, feeling,))
Woh, woh, woh, yeah...

Runaway Bride

Julia Roberts plays Maggie Carpenter, a spirited and attractive young woman who has had a number of unsuccessful relationships. Maggie, afraid of being married, has left a trail of boyfriends. Indeed, she's left three men waiting for her in church on their wedding day (all of which are caught on tape), receiving tabloid fame and the dubious nickname Runaway Bride.

Meanwhile, in New York, reporter Ike Graham (played by Gere), writes a column about her that contains several factual errors. He's fired for it and then decides to write an in-depth article about Maggie in a bid to get his job back. He travels to Hale, Maryland, where he finds her living with her family and on her fourth attempt to become married. The fourth groom-to-be is Bob, a football coach at the local high school who treats Maggie like a mental patient.

After Ike forces Maggie to face her fears, the two find themselves becoming more and more attracted to each other. In the meantime, Maggie is still set to marry Bob, and so does her best to ignore her feelings for Ike. The situation in Ike's corner is similar; being divorced once himself, he's looking for love as well, but knowing that Maggie must make the decision to be with him over Bob, he does his best to stay out of it.

In the midst of the wedding rehearsal, Bob stands in for the priest, and asks Ike to stand in his place as the groom. This proves to be a mistake, when Ike and Maggie "practice" the kiss right in front of Bob. As a result, Bob punches Ike in the face before storming out of the church. Soon after, Ike and Maggie agree to marry since the wedding is already set to take place.

But on the day of the wedding, Maggie gets cold feet, and leaves Ike, too, standing at the altar. As she rides away on a FedEx truck, Ike runs after her, but can't catch up.

Later, when Ike returns to New York, he finds Maggie making friends with his cat, Italics. Maggie then explains why she's been running and "turns in" her running shoes just before proposing to Ike. The two are married in a private ceremony outside, on a hill. In the end, they are shown riding away on horseback.

Drag Me To Hell

Release Date: May 29, 2009
Studio: Universal Pictures
Director: Sam Raimi
Screenwriter: Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi
Starring: Alison Lohman, Justin Long, Lorna Raver, Jessica Lucas, David Paymer, Dileep Rao
Genre: Horror
Plot Summary: Director Sam Raimi ("Spider-Man" trilogy, "Evil Dead" series) returns to the horror genre with "Drag Me to Hell," an original tale of a young woman's desperate quest to break an evil curse.

Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a charming boyfriend, professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), and get a leg-up on a promotion? Christine fatefully chooses the latter, shaming Mrs. Ganush and dispossessing her of her home.

In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao) to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine return her life to normal, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far will she go to break free of the curse?

Matt Damon Confirms Bourne 4

The Bourne trilogy is one of hell of a kick ass set of films, with each film getting progressively more intense and exciting. The character of Jason Bourne is pretty much the blueprint for modern action men (yes, even more than Bond) and will go down in cinematic history as such.

But with The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass (who helmed the second and third, but not the first), star Matt Damon and everyone else involved made a fantastic part three in the series, one which simultaneously left things ambiguous and yet still closed off the series in an entirely satisfying and fitting way.

But you know that since the three films combined made a few dozen million under a whopping $1 billion worldwide (with the third one alone making over $400 million), that they are going to at least entertain the idea of doing another one (in fact, news came out last year that Universal had bought the complete rights to the Bourne character, as well as first look options on other Robert Ludlum books). With the ambiguous way Ultimatum ended, it has left the door open for them to go back to the series for another go at it.

It was already confirmed last year that another Bourne film was on the way, and that Damon and Greengrass would be returning (after them swearing left, right and center that there wouldn’t be another). But it’s always great to hear it from the horses mouth (so to speak), so via an interview with Parade Magazine Matt Damon confirmed that a Bourne 4 is definitely already being worked on.

Code Word For Sex:

A husband and wife decided they needed to use "code" to indicate that they wanted to have sex without letting their children in on it. They decided on the word Typewriter.

One day the husband told his five year old daughter, "Go tell your mommy that daddy needs to type a letter".

The child told her mother what her dad said, and her mom responded, "Tell your daddy that he can't type a letter right now cause there is a red ribbon in the typewriter." The child went back to tell her father what mommy said.

A few days later the mom told the daughter, "Tell daddy that he can type that letter now."

The child told her father, returned to her mother and announced, "Daddy said never mind with the typewriter, he already wrote the letter by hand."

That's Love:

An escaped convict, imprisoned for 1st degree murder, had spent 25 years of his life sentence in prison. While on the run, he broke into a house and tied up a young couple who had been sleeping in the bedroom. He tied the man to a chair on one side of the room and his wife on the bed.

He got on the bed right over the woman, and it appeared he was kissing her neck. Suddenly he got up and left the room. As soon as possible the husband made his way across the room to his bride, his chair in tow, and whispered, "Honey, this guy hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw him kissing on your neck and then he left in a hurry. Just cooperate and do anything he wants. If he wants to have sex with you, just go along with it and pretend you like it. Whatever you do don't fight him or make him mad. Our lives depend on it!. Be strong and I love you."

After spitting out the gag in her mouth, the half naked wife says: "Dear, I'm so relieved you feel that way. You're right, he hasn't seen a woman in years, but he wasn't kissing my neck....He was whispering in my ear. He said he thinks you're really cute and asked if we kept the Vaseline in the bathroom. Be strong and I love you, too.

What a Man Wants:

A husband, wife and their seven-year-old son walk into an ice-cream shop. The dad says "I'll have a chocolate cone, and my wife here will have a vanilla."

He then slaps his son on the back of the head and says: "What do you want, fat-head?"

The lady behind the counter, shocked, says, "Why did you call him that?"

"I'll tell you why," says the dad. "There's really only three things a man wants in life.
First, he wants a nice big truck. See that nice big truck parked outside? That's mine.
Second, he wants a nice big house. I have one of the biggest houses in town. Third, and most important, he wants a nice tight pussy and I had that too until fat-head here came along."

James Cameron's Avatar

Avatar, one of the most anticipated film of 2009, is set to release at the end of the year. It is written and directed by arguably one of the best directors out there, James Cameron, a man who has earned the trust of Sci-Fi fans everywhere and a man who helmed the biggest grossing film of all time: Titanic.

Cameron has not directed a feature film in 12 years and he’s spent a lot of that time on this project, his baby, which is said to revolutionize the way we see films in 3D. No one knows how expensive this project is - years ago an initial budget of $195 million was thrown around and sometime last year it was rumored that it was costing somewhere between $250-300 million. Could be more, could be less – the point is that he’s garnered the trust of Fox studios to invest that much into him and this project.
Avatar creature
Unlike Spider-Man 3, where Sony put that much money into the project with little risk, Avatar is no sequel and it has no brand recognition. This is an original piece not based on hit TV shows, comics or video games.

What does that mean? Well, it means the only way they’ll get people to see it is by truly selling itself, no reliance on other material or a built-in fanbase. So far, the only selling points we have are that it’s James Cameron and that it’s some new tech employed to make 3D and live-action appears truly as one and the same.

Another marketable trait is that it’s starring Sam Worthington as the lead, who will be super famous and recognizable by the end of this summer with his role in the upcoming Terminator Salvation – where it’s said he got the role in that thanks to Cameron’s recommendation to McG.

For this movie to be a financial success and to live up to the anticipation for it, it must be a world-wide box office smash. To do that, we need some incredible marketing. We saw probably the most extensive movie marketing ever with Watchmen (rivaling, if not surpassing what there was for The Dark Knight) ranging from loads of viral websites, pictures, supporting DVDs, behind the scenes feature videos, a plethora of trailers and TV spots, re-prints and hardcover releases of the graphic novel, etc (even the extensive lawsuit coverage helped market the movie). Zack Snyder and company took full advantage of the online world, something we’ve seen none of for Avatar – which I would argue may need it even more seeing how it is not coming from the most celebrated graphic novel of all time.

Thinking about the general plot of the film that we know so far, I can completely understand that. IMDB currently displays the following Synopsis for the film: [possible spoilers?]

In a distant future, humanity discovers the planet ‘Alpha Centauri B-4′, and for those scientists and astronauts who’ve traversed the gulf between neighboring suns and arrived on its alien soil know it as ‘Pandora’. A world filled with an incredible diversity of beautiful and deadly ammonia-breathing lifeforms. Its also a world that harbors treasures and resources almost beyond price. But just as the original Pandora’s Box wrought devastation on those who would use it for their own gain, so too this world may destroy not just the Pandorans home, but ours as well.

Avatar is the story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.

The overall story itself isn’t mind-blowing but it sounds cool as hell to me being a sci-fi fan. How do they market that story while at the same time, showcasing the new 3D and CGI that the film will feature?

The movie was said to be 60% CGI, most of which was shot with the brand new motion capturing method everyone’s been talking about using special cameras that Cameron helped develop himself a few years earlier.

The movie will succeed by bringing in the masses. To bring in the masses, show something to bring them in – I want this movie to succeed.

I love James Cameron, and he has my trust and support.

Avatar is set to released December 18, 2009 and I’ll be there.
